Allen Covert (born October 13, 1964, Palm Beach County, Florida) is a Florida-born comedian and actor.
A longtime friend of Adam Sandler, he is a familiar face to Sandler fans, having appeared in twelve of Sandler's movies. He also frequently writes for Sandler's films and comedy albums. He raised his profile as Sandler's best friend in The Wedding Singer (1998), before taking on smaller roles as villains such as the lecherous nerdy journalist in Mr. Deeds (2002) and a braggart romantic rival in Anger Management (2003), a film for which he was also executive producer. He also played Sandler's gay friend in Big Daddy (1999). Covert was educated at New York University, where he was a classmate of Sandler.
Covert had his first starring role in the early 2006 release Grandma's Boy for Sandler's Happy Madison production company. Covert is also one of the screenwriters for the Happy Madison production The Benchwarmers, which was released April 7, 2006.
