Simon Pegg and Nick Frost Reuniting for Paul
Comedy duo hitting the road.
Simon Pegg and Nick Frost fans, take note: The duo will soon be bringing its act to America.
In a recent interview with MTV Movies, Pegg shed some light on his upcoming projects, including another collaboration with Frost. From the article:
Don't confuse this one with Simon and Nick's next Edgar Wright collaboration. This one is all theirs. While the details were few and far between from Pegg, he did reveal the title and a little of the plot. "It's called 'Paul' and it's a road movie about two British geeks in America." Pegg added that the film will be shot here in the States.
No director has been set for the project, but Pegg's keeping busy; filmgoers will soon be able to see him in Run, Fat Boy, Run, and he recently wrapped a role in next year's How to Lose Friends and Alienate People.

on Sep 24 2007 09:17 AM Tremendous! I've been a fan since the Asylum days, it's lovely to see them getting some notice in the US. (Reply to this) |
on Sep 24 2007 11:30 AM Wright gets more of the attention than he deserves IMO, not that I don't value his contributions to their work, but here in the US he gets all the attention, whereas it's these two that are the essentials, hilarious and quick-witted, genre-bending. Wright adds a great flair and style to their work, but I'm sure they can still be hilarious without him. (Reply to this) |

on Sep 25 2007 01:09 AM yayyyy. Hot Fuzz rocked. Keep some of the British humor though. I dont want it to be too American... (Reply to this) |

on Sep 25 2007 07:57 AM If they make it such that they're two Brits mocking America, I can see this being hilarious. Hard to go wrong with these two. (Reply to this) |

on Sep 25 2007 10:11 AM borat: take two. only fully scripted. i loved sean of the dead, but hot fuzz WASN'T THAT GREAT. It was a murder mystery that hyped itself up as the mother of all action movie parodies. While the last 20 minutes were wild, I think it was too little too late. see, in action movies there are multiple bang-bang set pieces running throughtout the whole film. The movie took itself too seriously and edgar wright's reliance on those quick-cut montages (a la requiem for a dream) to break up the slow parts has become apparent. I'm glad this new one will be wright-free, if not too original. (Reply to this) |

on Sep 25 2007 10:49 AM Haha, correction again: Shaun. And I'm not gonna argue with you on Hot Fuzz because it was hilarious whther you thought it was supposed to eb an action movie or not (more of a parody of buddy cop movies) but I will say that the quick cuts in Hot fuzz are nothing like those in Requiem for a Dream.
