On his popular TV show, comedian Sacha Baron Cohen uses his imbecile character Ali G to interview unsuspecting subjects and mine comedy from the clash between the cultures of faux hip-hop and self-important politics. In this feature film, Ali G becomes part of an evil Chancellor's plot to expel the Prime Minister of Great Britain. The British wannabe gangsta appears so infernally clueless that the Chancellor (Charles Dance) believes it will be easily to manipulate him in the campaign to oust his nemesis. However, he doesn't count on Ali G's ability to unknowingly to stumble into greatness. His "Keep It Real" slogan fires the public's imagination and Ali G (and the Prime Minister) become more popular than ever before. [More]

Reviews for Ali G Indahouse: The Movie
It's got 12 or 15 moments of inspired comedy ... stuck in an 88-minute frame packed with full-on wheel-spinning.
A cross between Spice World and Malibu’s Most Wanted, only much funnier.
Ali's graduation from little screen to big is far less painful than his opening scene encounter with an over-amorous terrier.
Frankly, it’s pretty stupid. I had more fun with Ben Stiller’s Zoolander, which I thought was rather clever. But there's plenty to offend everyone...
A raw comedy that is intermittently hilarious as it attacks pretty much every taboo around.
