Z-4195 (Woody Allen) is just a worker ant - one in a billion - and his odds of landing the beautiful Princess Bala (Sharon Stone) are about the same.
Undaunted by the colony's unyielding caste system, Z enlists the aid of his best friend, a soldier ant named Weaver (Sylvester Stallone), to get to the Princess. When a remarkable twist of fate turns Z from a common drone into an unlikely hero, he unwittingly puts a bug in the ambitious General Mandible's (Gene Hackman) plan to literally liquidate the colony and remake it in his own image.
Z soon finds himself leading a revolution that becomes a celebration of individuality in the face of overwhelming conformity. Once the most insignificant of workers, Z may just prove to be the biggest hero of them all.

Reviews
Appeals to your daydreams when you were a kid and you wondered about the daily physical hassles of an ant.
...the message of Antz is this: Freedom of choice is important, but one should use their freedom to be decent, responsible, humble, and helpful.
Has enough of a story to keep a child engaged and a script clever enough to keep an adult amused.
exciting, often hilarious and frequently wondrous film... Adults who live in fear of seeing non-Disney animated movies would be well-advised to overcome their prejudices.
There's plenty of action in this computer-animated comedy, but it's no match for Toy Story in humor and originality.
...A spectacular computer-animated cartoon that is sure to give Disney's upcoming A Bug's Life a run for its sugar grains.
