on Feb 25 2007 09:06 PM poo what im saying is that dreamgirls was dumb for putting three of its original songs up for the same award- of course the votes were going to split and neither was going to have a majority. it was a poor decision. - they robbed themselves (Reply to this) |

![]() on Feb 25 2007 09:23 PM "diane is such a goddess" Yes she is. "The Departed" winning makes up for Etheridge winning...great writer, but she sounds like a man. (Reply to this) |
![]() on Feb 25 2007 09:25 PM congrats to Scorsese, he sooooo deserved it (Reply to this) |

![]() on Feb 25 2007 10:31 PM ...jerry seinfeld yes he is way funnier than ellen, and why has there been no news on RT about the teaser trailers for his new movie "Bee Movie"?? some real funny stuff there, and I think it qualifies as significant news. (Reply to this) |

![]() on Feb 25 2007 11:29 PM The Prestige was robbed, that should of been up for more nominations but it got screwed over. (Reply to this) |
![]() on Feb 25 2007 11:34 PM Pan's Labyrinth, robbed to Lives of Others. What is this world coming to? (Reply to this) |

on Feb 26 2007 12:03 AM Children of men should have won cinematography (Reply to this) |
|
on Feb 26 2007 12:08 AM Agree with you all about Pan's loss. How can it win best cinematography, achievement in makeup, and art direction then lose best Foreign Film to 'Lives of Others'? Was 'Lives of Others' even nominated for any other award? (Reply to this) |

on Feb 26 2007 12:21 AM Dreamgirls' mistake was in not picking just one of their three nominated songs and launching a huge campaign behind it. Two other movies have had three Best Song nominations -- Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King -- and each of them managed to NOT split the vote and walk away with the prize. They each won for their "signature" ballad -- "Beauty and the Beast" and "Can You Feel the Love Tonight". "Listen" is the best-known song of the three, but they really needed to get it out much more than they did to make people know that this was THE song to vote for. Oh well. Beyonce doesn't care either way. She was robbed of her share in the nomination so she's probably happy they got gypped. (Reply to this) |

on Feb 26 2007 12:43 AM It wasn't a really exciting Oscars this year. Happy that Scorsese finally won. COM should have got something. Pan was definitely robbed. Really glad Happy Feet beat Cars. (Reply to this) |

on Feb 26 2007 03:54 AM OSCARS meh, who cares Those shadow dancers, what the hell was that? This ceremony hasn't got a clue and has gotten progressively worse each year. Ellen had her moments as MC but I felt just like I do with her TV show....which is "I wouldn't mind changing the channel to see what else is on." Anyone want to bet Jennifer Hudson will have a dead acting career within a year or so? (Reply to this) |
