Discuss Article | Blog Article | Email To A Friend
In this week's Ketchup, the Untitled J.J. Abrams Project appears to finally have a title (though we still can't be sure), Superman: Man of Steel will have two villains, and Kate Beckinsale tells the Comic-Con crowd about her past and future movie opportunities. Also, some Dark Knight spoilers and Wolverine news and rumors to keep the fans hungry. Read on.

This Week's Most Popular News:

J.J. Abrams Project Title Mystery Solved?
Say what you will about his followthrough, but J.J. Abrams knows how to set up a project. He's established himself as something of a trailblazer for viral ads, littering the Web with various Lost-related content, and he's using the same tactics to create buzz for his next film production -- so much buzz, in fact, that the thing doesn't even have an official title yet, and that's news, as Slashfilm's Peter Sciretta recently learned firsthand.

Superman: Man of Steel To Have Two Villains?
On the grand continuum of movie rumors, this item falls somewhere between a conversation half-overheard at a restaurant and something a dude you know heard from this one guy, but it concerns the breathlessly debated Superman Returns sequel, so we can't very well not report it, can we?

Beckinsale On Catwoman, Wonder Woman, And Her Bond Girl Offer
One of the highlights of the super-long Whiteout panel at Comic-Con came when Kate Beckinsale popped in, fashionably late, and addressed a handful of roles she's been rumored to play.

Here Come The Dark Knight Spoilers!
You want Dark Knight rumors? We've got Dark Knight rumors! Well, technically, Slashfilm has them -- but why split hairs when we can be rolling around in all the spoilery goodness, right?

More Wolverine News Than You Can Shake a Claw At!
In the mood for a little dish on the forthcoming Wolverine movie? How about a lot? Today's your lucky day -- Wizard has posted a fat pantsload of information, speculation, and other assorted -ations, and we're here to break it down and point you in the right direction for all the Wolvie news that's fit to print.

If Paramount could slip the entire film under our noses until Transformers released, I'm sure they'd be more sneaky about keeping the title under wraps until they were ready to formerly release it. Overnight is just a code name like cheese and cloverfield. Mark my words.

I gotta give Dane Cook credit, he proved that just like musicians and actors today, comedians no longer need any actual talent in their field to be successfull, just the right look to appeal to the masses.

I think he should do do a movie with Jessicca Alba

Wow, lots of good sounding stuff. Appaloosa with Harris and Mortensen. Defiance, I'm a big Zwick fan(he's directed two of the best films ever), plus Schreiber's cool. The Wackness started off good with Kingsley and Janssen but it goes down hill from there, so who knows. I love Walken and Nivola so that's damn sweet that they are making a movie together. Eagle Eye with Caruso, LeBeouf, and most importantly Dawson could be good. And Powder Blue should be awesome with the combination of Biel, Liotta, Whitaker, and Kristofferson.

Superman better not have Lex back as a major villian. People would prefer to see Superman actually fight somebody. If they had the villians be Bizarro and Livewire or Doomsday and Mr.Mxyzptlk that would make a great action movie. As for "Overnight" I think the novelty of a giant monster movie filmed in crappy shaky cam will wear off after the first 5 minutes of the movie and people will hate it. Tomatometer: 11% and it won't gross more then $50 million domestically.

Theres no way lex will not be a main villain, hes not dead, hes not hurt, so theres no way he wont come back. Itll probably be like Superman 2, lex and then another super villain thats capable of brawling with superman. I agree that was a problem with superman returns though, the only action you could really have was superman saving people and catching giant falling objects, that gets boring really quick. I dont want bizzaro though, I have a feeling he'd look stupid on the big screen. Im all for metallo, braniac, and darkseid for the sequals.

Shermdawg? is that you?

i like Smallville when they pay homage to the movies and because Smallville's Lex poses a bigger threat than his film counterpart, but the show is incredibly hit-or-miss and the Lana/Clark love story was so drawn out and aggrevating. the fact that Returns is a sequel of sorts to Superman I & II isn't what made the movie bad, it was its rehashing of concepts from the first movie that made Returns so tiresome. a film that is set in the world set up by the movies but brings in new ideas has the potential to be one kickass Superman flick.
