Exclusive: Death Race International Poster Revealed

RT has been given an exclusive look at some international artwork for Paul W.S. Anderson's latest, Death Race, which arrives in cinemas soon. In the film, ex-con Jensen Ames (Jason Statham) is forced by a nasty prison warden to compete in a high-stakes car race in which killing your opponents is not only encouraged but rewarded.

Inspired by the 1975, Roger Corman-produced Death Race 2000, starring David Carradine and Sylvester Stallone in one of his earliest big-screen roles, this updated Death Race promises high-octane thrills and violent action.

Large Version

The film is released in the US on August 22nd, the UK on September 26th and Australia on 4th December and co-stars Ian McShane, Joan Allen and Tyrese Gibson.

Yes, the logo's sort-of cool and the chick is smokin' hot, but the film will suck balls all day long.

Jason is actually given the opportunity to act but only by Guy Ritchie. He's gotta pay his bills but he has now worked with Uwe Boll and Paul W.S. Anderson. YUCK!!!

It looks like a fun brainless action film. It doesn't seem to have much to do with the original except part of the title. The original was fun for the era it came out in and several of the actors in it are still doing film work. Go Mary Woronov.
