on Sep 04 2008 05:25 AM Run screaming, Seth and Judd. (Reply to this) |

on Sep 04 2008 06:09 AM They really do need a third Ghostbusters, but the now-artsy Bill Murray has been the hold out all these years. I would be hugely excited about a third film. I guess it may depend on sales of the Ghostbusters video game coming out, with all the original actors voices. Please Bill, let's make just one more of these films, pass the proton pack to a new generation. (Reply to this) |

on Sep 04 2008 06:29 AM I'd go see it, if the movie had the characters traveling back in time to kill their younger selves, so that Ghostbusters 2 never existed. (Reply to this) |

on Sep 04 2008 06:46 AM please no apatow PLEASE. let him stick with his superbad's and forgetting sarah marshall's. he wouldn't know how to do a ghostbusters movie justice (Reply to this) |
on Sep 04 2008 06:48 AM I don't think it should be done. The actors are too old and out-of-shape to do a live action sequel. Even if the sequel was animated or CGI it would probably still feel unnecessary. Can't Hollywood let some movie franchises just rest in peace? (Reply to this) |
on Sep 04 2008 08:29 AM I would love a Ghostbusters 3, but unfortunately, the actors really ARE old and out of shape by now. So it really seems like something that shouldn't be done at this point. Still, if there was some way to reverse time, I would love to see another installment. (Reply to this) |

on Sep 04 2008 08:53 AM Maybe they're waiting for Bill Murray to die so they can bring him back as a CGI ghost that they have to capture. Poor taste? (Reply to this) |
on Sep 04 2008 08:55 AM I'm all for a CG animated or motion capture Ghostbusters 3. I'd probably lean more towards motion capture though. They made Ray Winstone look believably young and fit in Beowulf after all. Imagine the imagery. Imagine the adventure. But this time, can we get Winston Zeddemore in the goddamn poster please?! (Reply to this) |
on Sep 04 2008 09:58 AM A third movie probably isn't neccesary. Leave the franchise alone. They should try to make a stand alone comedy film like it though. All-star comedians from today banding together in some sort of supernatural story. SDomething as original as the Ghostbusters but something new (Reply to this) |
on Sep 04 2008 11:32 AM they were planning on doing a videogame as the next one, but rumor is that fell thru. You never know about Judd and Seth though, maybe they liked working with Harold Ramis in knocked up and want to work with him again. All I care about is will Rick Moranis do it again. (Reply to this) |
on Sep 04 2008 12:16 PM oh this would be great, if its a new cast seth rogan, james franco, danny mcbride, Anna Faris, and Kristen Bell, I can really see Mcfoggle doing the Rick moranis type character. (Reply to this) |
on Sep 04 2008 12:34 PM seriously i think that the whole persona of the old Ghostbusters should be vanquished from out minds and let there be a new Ghostbusters come into play with more scare more ghosts and more action.... i think that'll work (Reply to this) |
on Sep 04 2008 02:17 PM I thought Ghostbusters 3 was essentially the new video game coming out, which is written by Aykroyd and Ramis and starring the original cast. (Reply to this) |

on Sep 04 2008 02:57 PM In reply to this comment (#2017178) seriously no more action and scarier ghost. Ghostbusters is more of a fun movie and not so action. I'd love it if they could kinda make a new school GHostbusters with new people fitting to the current zeitgeist. kinda like the extreme ghostbusters cartoons. no sequel with the old crew. maybe Akroyd and Murray could come for some scenes. i think Ghostbusters is the kinda movie that could easily be transported to our era. (Reply to this) |

on Sep 04 2008 05:56 PM Hell yeah I want a Ghostbusters three. I'd prefer the original cast, but them only briefly in it with a new cast of Apatow crew would also be great. What is it with all of this unneccesary talk from some of you people? No movie is neccesary. But both Ghostbusters films are great classics, and a new one would be very warmly welcomed. on Sep 04 2008 06:58 PM Please, please, please don't get anywhere near Apatow or Rogen. Talk about a disaster. They both are so horrible. Zohan was the only funny thing Apatow has ever done. Crappy movie but very funny. The rest of his movies suck badly too but they aren't funny in the least. Rogen is the same story. He's an ugly, unfunny dumb loser who plays the same stupid character all the time. If either one them got their grubby paws on this movie, it would be ruined. Ghostbusters has the potential for a good sequel. Given the technology now, I think they could really do some great work. I think a slightly darker tone would be needed for today's audience and can work as long as they don't lose the feel of the originals. They had a signature sort of camp to them that I feel audiences are still wanting to see in this sequel. The original cast would be a great addition too but a new cast would be a nice change and a good way to pass the torch and possibly set way for more sequels. (Reply to this) |
on Sep 04 2008 08:40 PM if they do a 3rd, the only way i'd want to see the same cast is if they all lost weight and looked more like they did in the late 80s then how they do now...... if not, new ghostbusters.....frat pack......ferrell, carrell, vaughn, wilson........with john C. reily as a baddie...... (Reply to this) |
on Sep 06 2008 02:12 AM Why do people care what kind of shape the original crew is in? They're fighting ghosts, not spartan warriors. (Reply to this) |
