Eli Roth Is Feeling Inglorious
by | August 06, 2008

Summary

Quentin Tarantino has tabbed Eli Roth to star as "a baseball bat-swinging Nazi hunter" in his next feature, the eagerly anticipated Inglorious Bastards. Brad Pitt is also in talks to join the cast. Back to Article

Ugh...why does Eli Roth have to be involved in this?

Why not?

Eli Roth was funny in Cabin Fever. Good movie, too.

And his Grindhouse trailer was funny, in a sickly kind of way.

(Not a fan of the Hostel movies, though. No torture porn for me thank you.)

Methink him and QT are buddies.

Yeah, the Grindhouse trailer was pretty good.

Hopefully he's a better actor than a director (didn't see Cabin Fever).

Forget Eli Roth for a second, did i just read that Brad Pitt will play a JEW?
Thats weird casting. He looks a little Aryian for that role!

'cabin fever' is the only thing worth watching involving roth. well that and the 'thanksgiving' trailer. both are funny in a really sick way. there's no justification for 'hostel 2' getting made. it was just twisted self indulgence and nothing more. can he act? juding by 'cabin fever' i would say... somewhat. seems like he's trying too hard.

Let's just make sure that YOU Quentin Tarantino do not have a big part in this film (since, unfortunately, there's no way you're gonna exclude yourself completely). if they get brad pitt it will be a big deal since he's the last person i'd expect to turn up in a Tarantino flick. interesting.

Brad Pitt doesn't look Jewish? What exactly does look Jewish? Ethiopians?

Im sure there are a lot of jewish actors that would like to play that role. Im just saying that Brad Pitt is blonde with blue eyes, he would make a better german officer. Its kind of like having Christian Bale play a mexican...yeah he could do it but why?

Hey, Daniel Craig played an Israeli Jew in Munich.

Sorry, didn't mean to sound hyper-critical.I get the point about blonde/blue eyes = aryan, etc. . .

Now, I'm just hoping one of the nazi guards is played by Woody Allen. . .

Eli Roth was also one of those obnoxious dudes hitting on the first four girls in Death Proof, if you want further proof of his acting talents. I actually think the guy could be talented, if he didn't direct torture porn for the rest of his life. I have to admit, I despise torture porn, but Hostel was a decent horror flick. I am guessing he dies a terrible death in this movie. Anyways, I don't really think this is a good idea. Which role is Quentin playing?

this movie had better be another QT classic...if he does it right it can build up to some pure greatness!
