on Aug 07 2008 06:39 AM commento- his latest films? honest to god i haven't seen him in anything since...christ, SAW 1. "i'm too old for this" was his line...YEARS ago. what the h3ll is he going to say now? "i don't know where i am...for this"? i know they're both up in age and no cop i've seen is THAT old. maybe it'll be Lethal Security Guard...and they work at the zoo or something. as long as they don't try and do stupid stunts like they did with Ford in Indy 4...it could be amusing. just know the their limits...and it may be somewhat entertaining (Reply to this) |
![]() on Aug 07 2008 06:44 AM I'm so in love with these films. The first two are f-ing great! 3 and 4 are guilty pleasures of mine. I will be there no matter how ****ty it is. Shane Black coming back to write sparks interest for me, because except for the first one and the story for the second one I don't think he's been involved. And the fact that he came up with this on his own and presented it as a writer proves that WB wasn't pressuring anyone for this. Get Richard Donnor, quite possibly the most faithful cast in film sequel history, and kick some ***! (Reply to this) |

on Aug 07 2008 06:58 AM Gimy: of COURSE they're going to have stupid, are-you-f#cking-KIDDING-me stunts! I do have to agree with Jake, though, that it is at least *encouraging* that someone came up with an idea without a corporation asking him to. (Reply to this) |

on Aug 07 2008 07:13 AM My knee-jerk response would be to trash this idea. But as few franchises can boast, there hasn't been a bad Lethal Weapon movie. And by my count, they've gotten progressively better. If they could somehow come up with a story to justify a 4th movie, I saw bring it on. But chances are this could very well be THE bad idea to finally ruin the magic. And, yes, Glover and Gibson are both kind of long in the tooth for these characters. (Reply to this) |
![]() on Aug 07 2008 07:47 AM I cant say Im excited BUT I will watch it if they make it...I loved all the Lethal Weapon movies pointblank...all I can hope is that its just as exciting and the level of action goes to a new "ignorant' level...LOL (Reply to this) |

on Aug 07 2008 07:54 AM This has been an actual fun series of stupid sequels even though I think number 2 could be better than the first. The fourth one got a little bit ridiculous but the interplay between the characters has always been a blast. Bring it on. (Reply to this) |

on Aug 07 2008 09:18 AM Normally nobody cares much about a writer finishing a script like this. . . If it DOES get made, I hope Mel GIbson pulls over a drunk driving hasidic Jew. . . (Reply to this) |

on Aug 07 2008 09:24 AM I like sequels, it give us an opportunity to follow the lives of some of our favorite characters. Sequels get a bad rap because not long ago they just made them for the money, without any care about the product. I would say studios are getting much better about this. Making a good movie is a difficult thing to do, and it is even more difficult to make three, four, or six in a row. That's why every series has it's stinker. I would watch this. (Reply to this) |
![]() on Aug 07 2008 09:25 AM I knew this was coming; simply a matter of time...The whole film should be centered on a retirement home; one that will blow up if it's residents are awake past 6:00 pm. (Reply to this) |
![]() on Aug 07 2008 09:37 AM just 2 weeks to retirement... err.. i meant just 20 years... (Reply to this) |

on Aug 07 2008 05:14 PM I seriously wasnt down for this idea at first... But, since I really do like 1-4 then I think they could pull this one off... (Reply to this) |
