Every year the two rival pubs in the small Scottish town of Inverdoune battle in a soccer match, and for 99 years in a row the team representing Benny's Bar has lost to the snobs from Le Bistro. But this year, thanks to an ancient wager, the winner of the game will get to shut down the opposing pub. Only Wullie, the local milkman with an encyclopedic knowledge of the game, can save the day. Meanwhile, Wullie has his heart set on winning Rosemary, the local farmer's daughter. A sweet romantic sports comedy, similar to THE FULL MONTY and WAKING NED DEVINE. [More]
