in this day and age of makeup and cgi...you can't put a prosthetic on somehow? i have a hard time believing either of the stories, one that he has to have it cut off(media always overexaggerates everything)...two that they can't compensate for it. is he high fiving megan fox and there's a closeup of the two hands? is he constantly rubbing his mustache as if to have a bright idea?

Too bad for Shia. He's lucky it wasn't his entire arm. Would have ruined his career. I wonder if it will have an effect as it is.

oh man...that sucks...but it's just a pinky anyway...could've been his whole hand, or arm or his life...they should just work it into the storyline that he got injured while in a battle with the Decepticons

I heard the rumour is fake.

He deserves to have some reprocussions for driving drunk. Karma's a *****.

Product,

He wasn't drunk driving. He had some alcohol in his system, but the whole accident wasn't his fault.

It was erroneously reported in the press that he caused a drunk driving accident, then SURPRISE, the US Press was wrong in their hurry to publish a story. . .

I meant to add that the alcohol in his system did not reach the legal threshold of "drunk driving."

In the movie they can simply have Optimus accidentally step on his hand and say, "My bad."

Too soon?

A pinky won't shut him down completely. Back in the 1920's, Harold Lloyd did all kinds of crazy stuff in his films with only 8 fingers.

if they hack his finger off, the kid's gonna be a complete freak. he'll hardly work again. no, i'm serious. maybe he'll get a war movie thrown at him a few years down the line, but this will undoubtedly ruin his career IF IT'S TRUE / ACTUALLY HAPPENS.

not that it REALLY matters since, ya know, Transformers 2 is gonna suck just like the first one did. oops, sorry fanboys, but mikey's a hack and, worst of all, he thinks he's funny. that has been the most detrimental characteristic of any of his movies. he's one of those people that honestly believes he's witty and humorous when he's not. it's one of the saddest things to see in any context.

forgive me for not licking my chops at the idea of Shia LaGimp and Fantabulous Fantastabots II: Showdown at Amputee Island

but just so you guys don't think i'm completely negative, here's an idea that just might save the movie: in one scene, shia's driving bumblebee after having a few drinks with friends and then another car hits his robot-car and his pinky snaps off. boom, done. now THAT'S method acting.

I'll tolerate every single robot character saying "my bad" at some point or another just so long as NO ONE EVER says "What it do?".

IF the rumor's true, I feel for the kid, but y'know what? If you drink AT ALL and then get behind the wheel, you're a moron. Karma, Karma, Karma, Karma, Karma Chameleon...

Culture Club?

Hey, I drink a few beers and get behind the wheel. You know what I do? I yell at the bastards talking on their cell phones in their Saturn in front of me!

Oh,

ANd Karma isn't really the thing used where you get happy at someone getting what they deserve(in a bad way),

it's called (probably huge spelling errors) Shottenfreuden.

Call it whatever you want. I just don't have sympothy for some thing bad happeneing to someone because they got behind the wheel after drinking. Celebrities seem to think they are immune. If anyone could afford a cab ride home it is them. And as long as the person doesn't die or become comatose then I'm all for a little punishment. Loosing a pinky sounds just. Bet he'll never do it again. Or at least I would hope not.

Yeah it's all true. Star Magazine is a reputable publication. On that note, say hi to Megan Fox, my wife (amongst many).

Don't you mean Transformers 2: Revenge of the Finger?
