Bernard Rose Returns to Horror for His Own "Amusement"
"Candyman" director Bernard Rose will return to the genre fare to helm "Amusement" for New Line, according to Variety.
With a screenplay by Jake Wade Wall (he of the upcoming "When a Stranger Calls" remake), the "amusing" story is "is told from the points-of-view of three different women who are made to suffer by a killer using their childhood grudge against them."
New Line plans to start production early next year.
Other films from Bernard Rose include "Ivansxtc," "Immortal Beloved," "Chicago Joe and the Showgirl," and the upcoming "Snuff-Movie."

 on Aug 27 2005 12:03 AM [b]Candyman[/b] Even Clive Barker can't seem to be able to make a decent movie out of his own source material, so it's no great wonder that "Candyman" (and its sequels) sucked. I'm interested to see what Rose can dfo with original material. (Reply to this) |
